Linus

  • First appearance: September 19, 1952
  • The benevolent, blanket-clutching philosopher always has a kind word for everybody…even his bossy older sister, Lucy. While he’s often the voice of reason in the neighborhood, Linus also believes firmly in the Great Pumpkin, and he suffers more than most when people (or pumpkins) let him down.

First appearance: March 16th, 1995 Linus sits in the middle of the room holding his blanket and sucking his thumb. Snoopy lies on his lap. Lucy asks, "If that dog is a bother, why don't you send him home?" Linus answers, "If I jump during a bad dream, he keeps me from jumping too high . ." First appearance: November 9th, 1992 Sally and Linus walk towards the bus. Sally says, "I hate field trips . . . I'm always sure something bad is going to happen . ." Linus, my serious side, is the house intellectual, bright, well-informed which, I suppose may contribute to his feelings of insecurity

    Every Halloween night Linus can be found in a pumpkin patch, awaiting the arrival of the Great Pumpkin.

  • Baseball

    Linus is known for making some incredible plays on the diamond, including turning two with short-stop Snoopy.

  • His blanket

    The epitome of security, Linus’s blanket also proves to be an excellent sling shot.
