Woodstock

  • First appearance: April 4, 1967
  • The fluttering, sometimes sputtering, little yellow bird is Snoopy’s sidekick, whether it’s as faithful mechanic to the World War I Flying Ace, stalwart secretary to the Head Beagle, or root beer drinking buddy. Chirping in a language only Snoopy understands, Woodstock and his feathered friends are never far from Snoopy’s doghouse.

First appearance: March 14th, 1987 The Foreign Legionnaire, Woodstock and another bird follow beind Charlie Brown. Charlie Brown exclaims, "I don't understand you at all . . You and your troops marched through every sand trap on the golf course!" Charlie Brown says, "Sometimes I wish I knew what you're thinking . . ." Snoopy thinks, "Your research has told you what?" Snoopy thinks, "There's a vessel from the War of 1812 lying at the bottom of my water dish?" Woodstock dives into the water. Snoopy rolls his eys and thinks, "I hate myself for doubting his research." First appearance: April 3rd, 1998 Snoopy is on top of his doghouse. He looks down and sees Woodstock sailing in Snoopy's water dish. Snoopy thinks to Woodstock, "After you're done sailing, you should tie up your boat so it doesn't drift away.." Woodstock is gone and has tied the little sailboat to Snoopy's nose. The Flying Ace jumps off the doghouse and thinks, "He knows his faithful mechanics will jump up and down and cheer when they see him land . ."
