First appearance: August 16th, 1958 Charlie Brown walks out his house with a sandwich. He sits on the sidewalk to eat. He grimaces as the substance on the bread blows off. He explains to Patty, who has just arrived, "Never try to eat a sugar-sandwich on a windy day!" First appearance: May 8th, 1958 Patty and Charlie Brown are walking along the lane. Patty asks, "School is getting you down, isn't it, Charlie Brown?" He grimaces as she continues, "When you come home in the afternoon, you need something to help you to unwind..you need to relax.."
