First appearance: July 31st, 1956 Pigpen approaches as Patty and Charlie Brown wipe their brows and tug at their clothes. Patty says, "Boy, it's hot today..." They look up as Pigpen passes them and says, "Good morning Patty..Good morning Charlie Brown...beautiful day isn't it?" He walks off smiling. They look after him and Patty says, "The heat doesn't seem to be bothering 'Pig-Pen' much.." Charlie Brown First appearance: September 14th, 1956 Patty and Violet sit on the sidewalk talking. Patty says, "People should be more kind to each other" She continues, "Everyone should try to be gentle and considerate." Violet agrees, "That's true.." They let out an exclamation as they turn to see Charlie Brown standing there smiling. He runs off as Patty shouts at him, "Get Out Of Here! Can't You See We're Talking?"
