Woodstock

  • First appearance: April 4, 1967
  • The fluttering, sometimes sputtering, little yellow bird is Snoopy’s sidekick, whether it’s as faithful mechanic to the World War I Flying Ace, stalwart secretary to the Head Beagle, or root beer drinking buddy. Chirping in a language only Snoopy understands, Woodstock and his feathered friends are never far from Snoopy’s doghouse.

First appearance: February 14th, 1990 Woodstock and Snoopy sit on a doghouse. Snoopy thinks, "No, you can give a valentine to someone any way you want to . ." Snoopy thinks, "You can hand it to them, or mail it or give it to them any way you want to . . ." Snoopy has a valentine stuck to his nose. He walks along wearing a private's cap on his head. Woodstock stands on the typewriter. Snoopy types, "like." Snoopy types, "a teeny tiny little yellow bird." Snoopy rolls his eyes and throws a crumpled piece of paper over his shoulder. Woodstock knows that he is very small and inconsequential indeed. It’s a problem we all have. The universe boggles us…Woodstock is a lighthearted expression of that idea.
