Joe Cactus

FIRST APPEARANCE:

October 17, 1983

Spike’s conversations with his friend Joe Cactus are very one-sided, but the lonely beagle is very appreciative of his prickly friend’s listening skills and his reliability. When Spike wants a partner for basketball or bridge he knows he’s got one in his faithful cactus. Spike even includes Joe Cactus in all of his celebrations, adorning him with Christmas lights and other festive decorations throughout the year.
