Lydia

a girl with black hair wearing a pink shirt and yellow pants

FIRST APPEARANCE:

June 9, 1986

Linus’ classmate, Lydia, is a source of endless frustration for the poor fellow. Whenever he asks to sit beside her at lunch; or get ice cream; or walk home from school; she asks him, “Aren’t you a little old for me?” She also changes her name frequently and asks to be called “Ophelia,” “Anna,” Or something else entirely. She won’t even give Linus her address for a Christmas card. Despite all of this, or perhaps because of it, Linus remains fascinated by Lydia.
