Naomi

A native of Needles, California, Naomi first meets Spike when he tires of life in the desert and ventures into the city to find “a nice Hollywood-type girl” to adopt him. When Naomi discovers him outside her mother’s animal clinic, she brings him into the hospital for bedrest and tapioca pudding (the snack, not the aspiring movie star). Naomi falls for the lanky beagle during his hospital stay and wants to adopt him but her mother says no. Although Spike is sad he isn’t able to find a permanent home with Naomi, they remain friends, and she know she can always find him in the desert.
