The 95472 Family

Date of birth, Phone number, Address, etc. Kids have to deal with a lot of numbers. That’s especially true when your name is 555 95472, or 5, for short. 5’s father became so overwhelmed by numbers that he changed their surname to 95472, the zip code for Sebastopol, California. He soon takes it a step further and rechristens his son as 5, and renames his twin daughters 3 and 4. While 5, 3, and 4 don’t seem particularly bothered by their names, they are a little confusing for some. Snoopy, for example, can’t tell if 5 is pronounced like “five” or like the Roman numeral “V,” and 5’s teacher is never able to pronounce his last name correctly, either—the accent is on the 4, not the 2 or the 5.
