An all-star baseball talent by way of New Mexico and North Dakota, José Peterson naturally catches the attention of Peppermint Patty when he moves to her neighborhood at the start of baseball season. He is an excellent hitter and at the core of Peppermint Patty’s planned overhaul of Charlie Brown’s team. But before Charlie Brown can clear room on his mantel for his “Manager of the Year” trophy, Peppermint Patty reassesses his team and opts to form a team with José in her own neighborhood. Jose and Peppermint Patty celebrate at his place with a traditional Peterson meal of tortillas and Swedish meatballs.
